Lyse Hext by nvater

Format: Commander

Commander: Lyse Hext

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Lyse Hext is the cost-reducing, double-strike core of this Azorius aura-voltron deck. The plan is to play Lyse early, then chain one-mana auras and cantrips that her ability discounts to zero, drawing cards and pumping her until she swings for 21 commander damage in two unblockable double-strike attacks. Light-Paws, Sram, and Kor Spiritdancer are hidden-commander/secondary engines that provide aura tutoring and card draw; Mavinda adds spell recursion. The deck is heavily interactive, packing free counters, hexproof/phase-out protection, and efficient creature removal. It has no infinite combo, so it wins through combat, with commander damage as the primary and realistically the only reliable path.
