This Mardu deck transforms Edgar Markov into a political masquerade host, setting aside traditional Vampire tribal aggro in favor of forced combat, goad mechanics, and monarch control. The deck focuses on setting up early pillowfort defenses like Ghostly Prison and Windborn Muse, disincentivizing attacks toward the pilot while deploying engines like Queen Marchesa, Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant, and Breena, the Demagogue. Once defenses and card flow are established, mass goad spells such as Taunt from the Rampart, Disrupt Decorum, and Kardur, Doomscourge force opponents to turn their armies against one another. While opponents wear down their life totals and creature boards through involuntary warfare, the pilot stockpiles resources and removal. In the late game, the deck pivots into decisive finishers like Insurrection, Mob Rule, or Akroma's Will to eliminate weakened survivors. The strategy excels in creature-heavy pods through political deflection and continuous combat attrition.
