Commander: Oloro, Ageless Ascetic

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Oloro, Ageless Ascetic deck is a classic Esper lifegain-drain strategy that leverages incremental life gain from the command zone and numerous enablers to fuel card draw and assemble an infinite combo. The primary win condition is the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond loop (or any variant using Enduring Tenacity, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Marauding Blight-Priest, or Bloodthirsty Conqueror), which triggers on any life gain and immediately drains all opponents. Backup plans include Felidar Sovereign at 40 life, combat damage from large lifelinkers like Serra Avatar, and token swarms from Crested Sunmare. The commander rarely needs to be cast; his upkeep trigger provides steady life and card selection, making the deck resilient and consistent.
