Deck overview

This mono-red Dragon tribal deck commands the battlefield through high-cost, flying beatsticks led by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The primary strategy focuses on early mana ramp and tribal cost reduction to accelerate the deployment of Lathliss. Once the commander is established, casting subsequent Dragons generates 5/5 flying Dragon tokens, quickly creating overwhelming aerial pressure. The deck supplements combat damage with potent enter-the-battlefield burn effects from cards like Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, and Warstorm Surge, which can remove blockers or dome opponents directly. Sub-themes include extra combat steps with Hellkite Charger and Scourge of the Throne, alongside double strike enablers like Terror of Mount Velus. While the list possesses immense explosive power and high functional redundancy across its threats, it remains vulnerable to sweepers and lacks stack interaction. It thrives in midrange tables where its dragons can dominate combat uncontested.
