Deck overview

This Golgari Aristocrats deck leverages Gorma, the Gullet alongside an extensive suite of sacrifice outlets, recursive creatures, and drain effects to control the board and drain opponents. Gorma converts creature deaths into growing +1/+1 counters and buffs future nontoken creatures entering the battlefield. The deck grinds through opposing boards using repeatable sacrifice edicts like Savra, Queen of the Golgari and Plaguecrafter, breaking parity through death triggers and token generation. It draws deep into its library with engines such as Morbid Opportunist and Smothering Abomination while whittling down life totals with Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Cauldron of Essence. While resilient to destruction thanks to extensive graveyard recursion, the strategy remains susceptible to rest-in-peace style graveyard exile and heavy instant-speed disruption.
