Taskmaster Copies by Howesitgoing

Format: Commander

Commander: Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Dimir "copycat control" deck built around Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic turning into the best creature on the battlefield or in any graveyard each turn. The primary plan is to generate compounding value from the deck's dense copy/clone package, using that to mill opponents through Dreamborn Muse, Psychic Corrosion, Aether Syphon, Dreadhound, and half-library effects like Cut Your Losses and Jidoor, Aristocratic Capital // Overture. A secondary, more compact win line uses Doomsday and Doctor Doom, Unrivaled: Taskmaster copies the Doctor from the graveyard, the deck mills itself out, and the tap ability wins the game. The deck is not a fast combo deck; it wins through incremental library depletion, drain, and copy-engine inevitability, with a fragile but real self-mill combo as a top-end finisher.
