Deck overview

This deck is commanded by Rendmaw, Creaking Nest, an archetype built around triggering mass-goaded creature generation through multi-type cards. By packing over thirty cards that share two or more types—including artifact creatures, enchantment creatures, kindred spells, and artifact lands—the deck repeatedly creates 2/2 flying Bird tokens for all players. Because these Birds are permanently goaded, opponents are forced into aggressive aerial combat against one another, steadily depleting their own life totals while leaving the pilot untouched. The deck leverages this inflated token population with asymmetric punishers such as Massacre Wurm, Poison-Tip Archer, and Culling Ritual, turning the shared Bird tokens into lethal burst damage. A dense 2-CMC ramp suite ensures Rendmaw hits the board on Turn 4, initiating forced combat by Turn 5 and closing out games around Turn 7.
