Deck overview

This Monk Gyatso deck functions as an innovative mono-white synergy and combo list centered on the airbend mechanic. Gyatso allows any of your creatures to be exiled and recast for {2} whenever it becomes the target of a spell or ability. The deck leverages zero-mana repeatable targeting abilities, most notably from Nomads en-Kor, Warrior en-Kor, and Shuko. By combining these targeters with generic cost-reduction permanents like Semblance Anvil, Cloud Key, and Foundry Inspector, the cost to recast airbent creatures drops to {0}. This creates an infinite loop of entering the battlefield, which can be leveraged into an instant table win via mill through Altar of the Brood or Watcher of the Wayside. Supporting this core strategy is a suite of low-mana white card-draw creatures, tutors such as Recruiter of the Guard and Oswald Fiddlebender, and targeted blink spells to protect your commander.
