Deck overview

This deck is a Boros combat-focused build led by Craig Boone, Novac Guard. It combines low-cost attackers, token producers, and quest counters to create steady pressure and targeted removal. By attacking with two or more creatures each turn, Craig Boone accumulates quest counters that shoot down opposing creatures or burn opponents directly. Supporting token producers like Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon, Otharri, Suns' Glory, and Horn of Gondor quickly expand your attacking ranks, while card-draw engines such as Chivalric Alliance and Firemane Commando reward constant aggression. The deck backs up its battlefield with versatile spot removal, board sweepers, and protective spells like Boros Charm and Teferi's Protection. While vulnerable to repeated sweepers and lacking stack-based interaction, the deck maintains a resilient, straightforward clock that reliably threatens lethal combat damage by turns 6 to 8.
