Deck overview

This deck is a Temur spellslinger midrange deck commanded by Iroh, Grand Lotus. The strategy focuses on casting inexpensive Lesson spells and utility instants/sorceries in the early game to fill the graveyard. Once Iroh, Grand Lotus enters the battlefield, every Lesson in the graveyard gains flashback for just {1}. Flashing back multiple spells each turn triggers potent payoffs like Rite of the Dragoncaller to create a swarm of 5/5 flying Dragons, Toph, Hardheaded Teacher to animate lands, and Guttersnipe to burn the entire table simultaneously. Secrets of the Dead and Accumulate Wisdom provide continuous card draw to maintain momentum. The deck also includes the land combo of Dark Depths and Thespian's Stage to generate a 20/20 indestructible Marit Lage token as an alternative threat. Flexible removal and protection spells keep the engine running smoothly until combat damage and direct burn finish the game.
