Deck overview

This mono-blue deck runs an Owling Mine group slug strategy. It uses Kami of the Crescent Moon and symmetrical draw artifacts like Howling Mine and Font of Mythos to fill every player's hand. As opponents reach full hand sizes, punishers including Misers' Cage, Iron Maiden, Ebony Owl Netsuke, and Viseling deal severe damage during each opponent's upkeep. The deck protects its board and slows down opponents with asymmetric stax pieces such as Back to Basics, Winter Moon, Meekstone, and Propaganda. A dense suite of efficient counterspells defends against incoming threats. As a compact alternate win condition, the deck can exile its library using Paradigm Shift or Leveler and win immediately with Thassa's Oracle or Laboratory Maniac.
