I am fire. I am... death! by IJCares

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

Smaug, Wicked Worm leads a Rakdos turbo Breach deck that wins without combat. The primary plan loops Underworld Breach with Lion's Eye Diamond, Grinding Station and Wheel of Fortune or Jeska's Will to generate infinite mana, mill and drain. A second line uses Dualcaster Mage with Twinflame, Heat Shimmer, Electroduplicate, Molten Duplication or Saw in Half for infinite hasty copies. Smaug is a value engine, not a combo piece: it makes tapped Treasures equal to opponents' artifacts and draws cards when you spend Treasure mana. Hidden engines Hoarding Broodlord and Bolas's Citadel tutor and churn through the deck while Treasure payoffs like Mirkwood Bats and Marionette Apprentice close games.
