Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck uses Azami, Lady of Scrolls as a card-advantage engine to fuel a reactive control strategy and assemble a win with Triskaidekaphile. The early game focuses on curving out low-cost Wizards such as Stonybrook Banneret, Information Dealer, and Wingcrafter. Once Azami enters the battlefield on Turn 5, she immediately taps these Wizards to draw multiple cards each turn cycle without requiring mana activations. The deck converts this immense card flow into a defensive shell of 13 counterspells and mass bounce spells like Cyclonic Rift and Cyclone Summoner. By using Wizardcycling tutors in Step Through and Vedalken Aethermage, the deck consistently accesses Triskaidekaphile on Turn 6, sculpts a hand of exactly thirteen cards, and defends the board for one table rotation to secure victory on the Turn 7 upkeep.
