Elf King by user3490222

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking leads a Sultai Elf deck that treats the graveyard as a toolbox. While the usual Elven lords and mana dorks make a fast token beatdown shell, Thranduil's ability turns any Elf with useful activated abilities in the graveyard into extra text, so the deck mills and discards aggressively. The hidden Thranduil, Sindarin Liege adds landfall tokens and an adventure that puts lands in hand. Primary wins are either a wide Elf swarm with anthem support or an infinite-mana loop using Devoted Druid and Immaculate Magistrate, then Imperious Perfect and Lathril or Jarad to drain all opponents. Without Thranduil, the deck still attacks, but loses its real engine.
