Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo Grixis spellslinger strategy led by Fire Lord Azula. The game plan revolves around deploying Azula on Turn 3 or 4 and declaring attacks to trigger Firebending 2, generating two free red mana each combat step. While Azula is attacking, any spell cast is duplicated, allowing cheap cantrips, card-draw spells, and rituals to provide double the value and mana velocity. Flash enablers like Leyline of Anticipation, Vedalken Orrery, and Valley Floodcaller extend this duplication window to any spell in hand. Payoffs such as Storm-Kiln Artist, Archmage Emeritus, Guttersnipe, and Vivi Ornitier convert these duplicated spells into massive Treasure generation, card draw, and table-wide burn. The deck transitions into a decisive win on Turn 6 by flashing back spells with Past in Flames or unleashing a massive, copied Jaya's Immolating Inferno to eliminate all three opponents simultaneously.
