Deck overview

Led by Sorin of House Markov, this Orzhov deck is a synergistic lifegain, attrition, and combo strategy designed to leverage life totals into decisive victories. In the early turns, the deck establishes incremental lifegain through creatures like Soul Warden and slows opponents using Blind Obedience, Authority of the Consuls, and Storage Matrix. This lifegain fuels commander flips, card draw engines like Necropotence and Black Market Connections, and provides a substantial buffer against aggression. The primary win condition centers on assembling Exquisite Blood alongside redundant drain payoffs such as Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, or Enduring Tenacity, executing an infinite drain loop that eliminates all opponents simultaneously. The strategy is reinforced by proactive turn-protection cards like Grand Abolisher and Silence, as well as devastating backup burst options including Bloodletter of Aclazotz paired with life-halving spells like Blood Tribute and Revival // Revenge.
