Discard for Days by Badger

Format: Commander

Commander: Misty Knight, Hero for Hire

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-red deck whirls around discard-as-an-asset, turning every card thrown away into fuel for draw, mana, and damage. Misty Knight, Hero for Hire functions as a repeatable engine to convert a single discard into multiple draws, accelerating the search for combo pieces. The primary game plan is to generate explosive mana through rituals (Seething Song, Pyretic Ritual, Runaway Steam-Kin) and then close the game via storm lines (Empty the Warrens, Aetherflux Reservoir) or by looping Underworld Breach with rituals and draw spells. A secondary combat axis using Living Laser and Anger to give haste, plus payoffs like Monument to Endurance and Magmakin Artillerist, provides alternative reach. The deck is a high-variance, graveyard-dependent storm engine that pushes for a fast win but folds to hate it cannot answer.
