Deck overview

This deck is a Mardu political control deck commanded by Queen Marchesa that leverages the Monarch, voting mechanics, pillowfort taxes, and goad effects to manipulate the flow of multiplayer combat. In the early game, it establishes mana fixing and defensive pieces like Ghostly Prison and Orzhov Advokist before deploying Queen Marchesa on Turn 4 to initiate steady card flow. Throughout the midgame, it utilizes voting spells such as Council's Judgment and Capital Punishment alongside goad threats like Kardur, Doomscourge, Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant, and Disrupt Decorum to force opponents to deplete each other's life totals and creature resources. Once opposing boards and life totals are softened, the deck transitions into a lethal endgame around Turn 8 using decisive theft and combat finishers like Insurrection, Mob Rule, Akroma's Will, or Inkshield.
