Deck overview

This Selesnya midrange deck is helmed by Black Panther, Wakandan King, turning creature entries into persistent value by storing +1/+1 counters safely on lands. It converts these stored counters into substantial card advantage, life gain, and towering threats using Black Panther's activated ability. The deck combines dense counter doublers such as Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Doubling Season with resilient token generators like Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Scurry Oak, and Basking Broodscale. It overwhelms opponents through evasive combat damage granted by Kodama of the West Tree, Abzan Falconer, and Champion of Lambholt, or closes the game instantly with an infinite creature combo using Cathars' Crusade alongside Scurry Oak or Basking Broodscale. Robust defensive tools like Heroic Intervention, Boromir, Warden of the Tower, and Kutzil, Malamet Exemplar protect its board from interaction.
