Henzie and friends by lilactulipa

Format: Commander

Commander: Henzie "Toolbox" Torre

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Henzie "Toolbox" Torre takes the role of a relentless combat-focused commander, granting every creature with mana value 4 or greater blitz-haste, delayed card draw, and an end-step sacrifice that accelerates value. The deck's main plan is to drop cheap ramp (Ilysian Caryatid, Ignoble Hierarch), deploy Henzie on turn 3-4, then chain cast big hasty threats (Savage Ventmaw, Scourge of the Throne, Etali, Primal Storm) that either draw on death or warp the board. While the commander powers the speed and recycling, the entire sacrifice theme is nuanced; it rewards grinding value via Riveteers Ascendancy, Whip of Erebos, and Meren of Clan Nel Toth. The main win condition is overwhelming combat damage, often snowballing into an extra-combat loop from Savage Ventmaw + Scourge of the Throne.
