Deck overview

Doctor Doom, King of Latveria leads a Grixis midrange deck focused on Villain tribal synergies, connive triggers, and discard value engines. The deck accelerates through early mana rocks to deploy Doctor Doom by Turn 4, immediately utilizing his beginning-of-combat ability to grant menace and connive to key attackers. Discarding nonland cards steadily buffs the team with +1/+1 counters, while discarding land cards triggers direct life drain against all opponents. Key payoffs like Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon and Ultron, Unlimited expand the board with scaling stats and Robot tokens, while Archfiend of Ifnir severely degrades opposing creature boards. A robust interaction package featuring six counterspells and efficient removal keeps opponents in check while the deck presses its combat advantage. The deck applies decisive combat pressure on Turn 5 and consistently eliminates the table by Turn 7 through evasive menace combat damage and incremental life drain.
