Deck overview

Ardyn, the Usurper leads a mono-black reanimator deck centered on Demon tribal synergy, explosive mana acceleration, and relentless graveyard recursion. The deck uses early self-mill cards such as Stitcher's Supplier and Ripples of Undeath to stock the graveyard with terrifying threats like Archon of Cruelty, Sepulchral Primordial, and Massacre Wurm. Supported by big-mana staples including Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx, the deck rapidly generates the heavy mana required to deploy high-cost spells. Once Ardyn, the Usurper enters the battlefield, his Starscourge ability transforms exiled creatures into 5/5 Demon tokens equipped with haste, menace, and lifelink, launching immediate offensive pressure each combat step. Alternate win lines through Liliana's Contract, Breach the Multiverse, and mass drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel provide strong backup paths to victory. While vulnerable to early graveyard exile and lacking artifact removal, the deck's dense reanimation package ensures formidable resilience and crushing late-game inevitability.
