Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul aggressive midrange strategy commanded by Bumi, Unleashed. Its core engine revolves around the Earthbend mechanic, turning lands into resilient 0/0 creatures with +1/+1 counters and haste that return to the battlefield tapped whenever they die or face exile. The early game focuses on deploying land ramp to cast Bumi ahead of curve on Turn 4. Once Bumi attacks and deals combat damage, its ability untaps all controlled lands and grants an exclusive second combat phase for land creatures. Synergistic lords like Toph, Greatest Earthbender, Raggadragga, Goreguts Boss, and Sylvan Advocate grant double strike, stat buffs, and trample to maximize damage across both attack steps. Backed by solid recovery mechanics that ensure destroyed land creatures return to ramp future turns, the deck systematically eliminates opponents across consecutive combat phases, closing the game around Turn 8.
