Deck overview

This Jeskai deck blends legendary Wizard tribal synergies with a powerful spellslinger engine led by Gandalf, Party Guest. Early turns focus on accelerating mana with 2-mana artifacts and deploying low-cost legendary Wizards like Baral, Chief of Compliance, Kaza, Roil Chaser, and Jori En, Ruin Diver. Once Gandalf enters the battlefield on Turn 4, his combat trigger begins casting instants and sorceries from hand for free, scaling with the number of legendary Wizards controlled. The deck converts this free spellcasting tempo into massive card advantage through Archmage Emeritus and Whirlwind of Thought, while establishing an evasive token army using Talrand, Sky Summoner, Docent of Perfection // Final Iteration, and Shark Typhoon. Evasive flyers buffed by prowess and Wizard anthems close out games across two combat cycles by Turn 7. The list also features flexible spot removal, asymmetric sweepers, and late-game control tools like Galecaster Colossus and Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir.
