big green and mean by Flerjd

Format: Commander

Commander: Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-green deck is a ramp-and-overrun strategy centered on Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger. Its primary plan is to accelerate into eight lands, cast Vorinclex, and then use his doubled mana to chain huge spells such as Finale of Devastation, Genesis Wave, and entwined Tooth and Nail. The commander also acts as a slow stax piece by freezing opponent lands. Secondary paths are fair big-creature beats with trample, token generation from Avenger of Zendikar or Rampaging Baloths, and power-matter draw engines such as Garruk's Uprising and Elemental Bond. The deck has no hidden commander; its identity is built around Vorinclex's mana doubling and the explosive Craterhoof/overrun finish.
