Deck overview

This is a Sultai "superfriends" counters deck helmed by Xavier Sal, Infested Captain, built around proliferate, planeswalker loyalty, and token generation. The commander's two activated abilities - populate and proliferate - tie the deck's halves together, but the real engine room is the proliferate suite: Flux Channeler, Evolution Sage, Thrummingbird, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, and Ichormoon Gauntlet all stack counters turn after turn. The primary win condition is accelerating planeswalkers to their ultimates - Vraska, Betrayal's Sting's poison, Kaito, Cunning Infiltrator's and Wrenn and Realmbreaker's emblems, and Liliana's Talent's mass reanimation - while a token-combat backup (Beastmaster Ascension, Scute Swarm, Adrix and Nev, Twincasters) closes games when the walkers stall. It is a slow, value-dense engine deck that wins through inevitability rather than speed.
