Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Mono-Green Stompy deck commanded by Ghalta, Primal Hunger. The primary strategy focuses on deploying highly efficient, undercosted high-power creatures like Pugnacious Hammerskull and Rhonas the Indomitable on the early turns to rapidly reduce Ghalta's casting cost down to just two green mana. Once Ghalta enters the battlefield on Turn 4, the deck leverages its massive 12 power to draw enormous bursts of cards through effects like Greater Good, Rishkar's Expertise, and Return of the Wildspeaker, or generate massive mana with Selvala, Heart of the Wilds. The game is closed out around Turn 6 by converting this overwhelming board state and card advantage into lethal table-wide combat damage using overruns such as Craterhoof Behemoth, Overwhelming Stampede, or a lethal Finale of Devastation. Robust protection spells safeguard key turns against targeted removal and countermagic.
