Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Mardu Aristocrats and Reanimator strategy commanded by Terra, Herald of Hope. The deck uses early self-mill, looting, and targeted graveyard tutors such as Entomb and Buried Alive to deposit powerful creatures into the graveyard. On Turn 4, Terra attacks with flying via her Trance ability, deals combat damage, and reanimates key 3-power creatures like Sister Hospitaller, Warren Soultrader, or Yawgmoth, Thran Physician for just two mana. The deck pressures life totals through drain triggers from Blood Artist and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim, and secures a decisive win via a non-infinite combat swing with Akroma's Will or an infinite persist loop combining Luminous Broodmoth, Murderous Redcap, and a sacrifice outlet like Goblin Bombardment. Defensively, the list runs robust plan shielding including Voice of Victory, Deflecting Swat, and Flawless Maneuver.
