Format: Commander

Commander: Gandalf, Goblins' Bane // Flameshape

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Mono-red spellslinger burn built around Gandalf, Goblins' Bane's triggered ability. The Flameshape adventure adds card advantage from the command zone once a Wizard such as Coruscation Mage or Great Hall of the Biblioplex is available. The deck ramps with Treasures and rituals like Seething Song from Blazing Firesinger, then chains many noncreature spells so Gandalf, Coruscation Mage, Thunderdrum Soloist, and Artist's Talent convert each spell into damage to all opponents. Dragonhawk, Fate's Tempest and Smaug the Magnificent provide a secondary flying/attack-plus-exile-burn angle. There is no hidden commander; the creature face is the engine and Flameshape is a value sidecar.
