Goth Gone Wild by steviepopo

Format: Commander

Commander: Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Rakdos life-drain deck is helmed by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls, who turns each opponent's first life-loss event per turn into a free card and a +1/+1 counter. The primary plan is to deploy a dense suite of permanents that trigger on opponents drawing cards, casting spells, entering the battlefield, or simply existing - converting every game action into incremental drain. The deck has no infinite combos; it wins by attrition, using symmetric draw like Stormfist Crusader and Spiteful Visions to both feed the drain and feed Valgavoth's card flow. Board wipes like Blasphemous Act and Massacre Wurm reset the battlefield while the drain continues. The commander is a powerful value engine, but the deck can execute its plan even with Valgavoth repeatedly answered, thanks to multiple independent pingers and other draw sources.
