Deck overview

This Jeskai deck is an aggressive Spellslinger and Prowess deck commanded by Kykar, Wind's Fury. The strategy revolves around deploying low-cost mana rocks and efficient utility spells to cast Kykar ahead of curve. Once on the battlefield, Kykar converts every noncreature spell into a 1/1 flying Spirit token, which can be sacrificed for red mana to chain further spells in a single turn. The deck scales this token generation into overwhelming combat damage using prowess enablers like Bria, Riptide Rogue, Narset, Enlightened Exile, and Archmage of Runes. To close out games, the deck can launch an explosive alpha strike with Akroma's Will or execute an infinite combat combo using Aggravated Assault and Sword of Feast and Famine. A robust suite of free and efficient protection spells, including Deflecting Swat, Flawless Maneuver, and Teferi, Time Raveler, ensures the deck can reliably defend its engine and secure victory on Turn 5.
