Deck overview

Haldan, Avid Arcanist and Pako, Arcane Retriever form a strong resource engine. Pako, Arcane Retriever attacks immediately after being cast, exiling four cards and growing for each noncreature card among them. Haldan, Avid Arcanist lets the deck cast those fetched noncreature spells with flexible mana, so surviving attacks create both pressure and access to opposing resources. The list supports this plan with dense acceleration, partner access, free countermagic, land tutors, and card engines such as Mystic Remora and Sylvan Library. Its main weakness is conversion. The deck can become far ahead without having a dependable way to kill all three opponents. Combat finishers such as Brotherhood Regalia, Temur Battle Rage, Seize the Day, and Chandra's Ignition are powerful but are not reliably assembled together. The deck is therefore a resilient high-power value-tempo strategy rather than a cEDH combo deck or a hard-lock control deck.
