Deck overview

This deck is a classic Dimir draw-go control strategy built around Nymris, Oona's Trickster. The primary game plan operates almost entirely on opponents' turns, utilizing flash creatures, counterspells, and instant-speed interaction to disrupt opposing game plans while continuously refilling the hand and sculpting the graveyard with Nymris triggers. Mana acceleration from rocks like Dimir Signet and Victory Chimes enables an operational Turn 5 commander deployment. In the late game, the deck transitions from reactive attrition to a decisive win by flashing in powerhouse threats such as Hullbreaker Horror, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, or Torrential Gearhulk. Hullbreaker Horror serves as the deck's primary threat onset around Turn 7, locking down the stack and clearing the board through chain-bouncing. Over three subsequent combat cycles, evasive beaters close out the game by Turn 10 while Dictate of Erebos and Notion Thief prevent opponents from rebuilding.
