Deck overview

This Dimir deck is built around Satoru Umezawa, turning cheap, unblockable creatures into delivery vehicles for game-ending threats. The primary strategy opens on Turns 1–2 with evasive one-drops like Changeling Outcast, Slither Blade, or Tormented Soul, curves into Satoru on Turn 3, and utilizes his static ability on Turn 4 to ninjutsu massive payoffs into play tapped and attacking for just {2}{U}{B}. Threats such as Blightsteel Colossus provide rapid lethal combat pressure, while stax and value behemoths like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Ancient Silver Dragon dismantle opposing boards, wipe hands, and drown the table in card advantage. Satoru's triggered ability provides continuous card selection with every ninjutsu activation. While vulnerable to early targeted removal on Satoru before combat and light on fast mana, the deck's high redundancy of both evasive enablers and cheat targets creates an explosive combat-cheat engine that demands immediate answers.
