Deck overview

This deck is a classic Golgari Aristocrats strategy commanded by Savra, Queen of the Golgari. It focuses on generating disposable creature tokens and recurring creatures, then converting them into asymmetric board control and table-wide life drain. Using token engines like Ophiomancer, Blight Mound, and Pest Rescuer, the deck repeatedly sacrifices black and green creatures to trigger Savra's forced edicts while gaining life to offset the costs. Card advantage engines such as Deathreap Ritual and Morbid Opportunist draw extra cards on every player's turn as creatures die across the table. Once opposing creature boards are locked down, the deck closes the game around Turn 8 through mass drain triggers from Blood Artist and Poison-Tip Archer or combat overruns fueled by Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest. The list features strong internal synergy and steady grind potential, balanced by vulnerability to graveyard hate and a lack of countermagic.
