Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck uses Matoya, Archon Elder to turn every scry and surveil into extra cards. You control the table with 18 counterspells and bounce, then win by milling opponents or by decking yourself. The main engine pairs Matoya with Curator of Mysteries and Mind Over Matter to loop discards into infinite draws for Laboratory Maniac. A second path grinds with Psychic Corrosion, Jace's Erasure and The Water Crystal, doubled by Teferi's Ageless Insight. Hullbreaker Horror acts as a hidden commander, locking the board and going infinite with Sol Ring. Matoya is the draw engine, not a combat threat, and the deck can still operate without her through its other draw and token makers.
