Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Boros Voltron strategy built around Lightning, Army of One. Lightning features first strike, trample, and lifelink, combined with the Stagger ability, which doubles all damage dealt to an opponent she damages in combat. The primary game plan deploys Lightning on curve, buffs her with equipment and combat tricks, and uses the damage doubling from Stagger to eliminate opponents in rapid succession through lethal commander damage. Supporting pieces like Fiery Emancipation, Genji Glove, and Boros Charm provide explosive damage spikes that can take down a player in a single swing. The deck includes equipment tutors like Cloud, Midgar Mercenary and Open the Armory to establish early board presence, along with indestructible granting protection spells to keep Lightning alive. While the deck applies heavy single-target pressure, its linear reliance on combat damage across multiple turns leaves it vulnerable to well-timed interaction and board wipes.
