Deck overview

This Esper deck leverages Jin Sakai, Ghost of Tsushima as a versatile combat enabler and card advantage engine. By granting unblockability through its Ghost trigger whenever a creature attacks a player alone, Jin Sakai guarantees combat damage triggers and provides ideal setups for Ninjutsu. The primary game plan uses Satoru Umezawa to cheat devastating high-cost threats, most notably Blightsteel Colossus, into combat unblocked as early as Turn 5. Redundant ninjas such as Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow, Ingenious Infiltrator, and Sakashima's Student maintain card flow and board pressure. As a backup win condition, the list features an infinite mana combo using Palinchron and Panharmonicon or Starfield Vocalist to untap lands repeatedly. While the deck boasts high single-target combat lethality and consistent draw engines, its primary vulnerabilities lie in a minimal instant-speed interaction package and a lack of protective counterspells against opposing board wipes.
