Deck overview

This deck is an Esper draw-and-drain combo strategy commanded by Queza, Augur of Agonies. The core game plan focuses on turning card draw into incremental life drain and massive life buffers, controlling the board with efficient interaction, and seamlessly pivoting into game-ending infinite loops. In the opening turns, the deck accelerates using two-mana mana rocks and deploys asymmetric card advantage engines such as Rhystic Study, Esper Sentinel, and Trouble in Pairs. Once Queza is established on the battlefield, every card drawn pressures opponents while padding your life total. The deck reaches critical lethality around Turn 6 by executing one of several compact win conditions, most notably the infinite life-drain loop of Exquisite Blood with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Sanguine Bond, the draw-drain chain of Drogskol Reaver with Queza, or a sudden Demonic Consultation into Laboratory Maniac or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. Supported by robust countermagic and Teferi, Time Raveler, the deck reliably protects its win attempts while neutralizing opposing threats.
