Deck overview

This Golgari Superfriends deck is led by Carth the Lion, maximizing synergy with planeswalkers—especially versions of Garruk—and large Beast tokens. Carth accelerates loyalty gains by modifying ability activation costs by +1 and provides steady card advantage by digging seven cards deep whenever Carth enters or a planeswalker dies. The deck focuses on ramping early into mid-game planeswalkers, churning out 3/3 and 4/4 tokens to defend them, and building toward ultimate abilities or overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede and Return of the Wildspeaker. Its interaction suite features flexible Golgari removal spells such as Assassin's Trophy, Beast Within, and Toxic Deluge, while asymmetric board wipes like In Garruk's Wake clear the path for combat lethality.
