Deck overview

Lathril, Blade of the Elves commands a high-synergy Golgari Elf tribal deck focused on rapid mana acceleration, explosive token proliferation, and decisive overrun finishes. The game plan centers on deploying 1-CMC and 2-CMC mana dorks (Llanowar Elves, Priest of Titania) on early turns to cast Lathril ahead of curve. Connecting with Lathril generates a wide board of 1/1 Elf Warrior tokens, which fuel card-drawing engines like Skullclamp and Beast Whisperer while powering super-dorks like Elvish Archdruid and Marwyn, the Nurturer. The deck builds into lethal combat finishes via Craterhoof Behemoth, multikicked Ezuri, Renegade Leader overruns, or infinite mana combos using Staff of Domination, closing the game on Turn 5 with 0 response cycles. While the list excels at proactive speed, mana velocity, and resilience via Heroic Intervention and Allosaurus Shepherd, its interactive suite is light on instant-speed removal, leaving it reliant on proactive pressure to outrace opposing combos.
