Rona but good this time

Format: Commander

Commander: Rona, Herald of Invasion // Rona, Tolarian Obliterator

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Dimir midrange-reanimator list leverages Rona, Herald of Invasion as a cheap looting engine that digs toward haymakers while stocking the graveyard, then transforms into Rona, Tolarian Obliterator for hand-disruption and free casts. The primary plan is to discard or mill oversized threats-Eldrazi titans, Archon of Cruelty, Vilis, Broker of Blood, Valgavoth, Terror Eater-and cheat them into play with a dense reanimation suite, then close via annihilator combat, life-drain engines, and opportunistic theft. A secondary ping-and-control layer (Prodigal Sorcerer-style pingers, Pestilence, Charisma, goad pieces) softens boards and steals blockers while counterspells protect the big turns. The deck wins through overwhelming battlefield presence rather than a fast combo kill, using Rona's legendary-untap trigger and loot ability to keep gas flowing into expensive bombs like Breach the Multiverse, Rise of the Dark Realms, and One with the Multiverse.
