Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan creature-centric strategy built around Olag and Miau, New Friends, uniting Cat and Zombie tribal synergies. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient mana dorks and early utility creatures, casting the commander on turn 3, and chaining token-generating effects starting on turn 4. As Cats and Zombies enter the battlefield, the commander distributes +1/+1 counters to strengthen the board. Turning these creatures sideways via combat, Cryptolith Rite, or Earthcraft triggers end-step life drain that damages all opponents simultaneously. The deck supplements this pressure with secondary drain pieces like Throne of the God-Pharaoh, Corpse Knight, and Wayward Servant, backed by high-tier draw engines such as Skullclamp and The One Ring. While vulnerable to mass exile sweepers, low-cost protective spells and graveyard recursion ensure robust resilience.
