Format: Commander

Commander: Siegfried, Famed Swordsman

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This mono-black deck is a self-mill voltron build around Siegfried, Famed Swordsman. The commander grows off the graveyard - he mills three on entry, then enters with twice that many counters per creature card in the yard. The first turns stock the graveyard with Snarling Gorehound, Barrier of Bones, Faerie Dreamthief, MACH-1, Swooping Scoundrel, and surveil-draw spells, so Siegfried routinely lands as a 10/10-to-16/16. From there the 21-card equipment suite multiplies him: Fireshrieker, Grappling Hook, and Inquisitor's Flail make one hit lethal commander damage; Trailblazer's Boots, Rogue's Passage, and a yarded Filth (with 39 Swamps) make him unblockable; Swiftfoot Boots and Sanctuary Blade protect him. Dark Prophecy, Harvester of Souls, Morbid Opportunist, and Skullclamp churn cards, while Vorpal Sword, Grievous Wound, and Hoarding Broodlord offer alternate one-shot finishes. The deck is a deterministic one-opponent-at-a-time clock with almost no interaction.
