Deck overview

This deck is an Esper midrange and control build centered around Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. The primary strategy utilizes topdeck manipulation tools such as Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, and Soothsaying to set up Yennett's attack trigger, cheating massive odd-mana-value spells directly onto the battlefield. Cheated threats like Void Winnower, Breach the Multiverse, and Toxrill, the Corrosive generate overwhelming board advantages and asymmetric locks. Supported by a robust removal suite including Swords to Plowshares, Oubliette, and Extinction Event, the deck controls the pace of play while assembling large flying beaters. Lacking infinite combos or fast mana, it relies on incremental advantage, oppressive combat damage, and alternate win conditions like Approach of the Second Sun to close out games across several turn cycles.
