Deck overview

This mono-green kindred deck focuses on Baru, Wurmspeaker to deploy and buff an army of massive, trampling Wurms. Early turns focus on establishing mana velocity through low-cost mana dorks and land ramp, allowing Baru and high-impact beaters to enter the battlefield ahead of curve on Turns 3 and 4. Once a high-power Wurm is present, Baru's token creation ability reduces to as low as {1}{G}, creating a steady stream of 6/6 trample Wurm tokens that trigger power-based card draw engines like Elemental Bond and Garruk's Uprising. The deck converts this board presence into a lethal clock on Turn 5, eliminating opponents over sequential combat steps by Turn 8. While resilient against single-target disruption thanks to instant-speed protection spells and backup stompy threats, the deck has minimal interaction against opposing creature combos and remains vulnerable to repeated board wipes.
