Elves v.1 Aug 26 by Baron_Buchanan

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Lathril, Blade of the Elves leads a low-to-the-ground Golgari Elf deck that aims to create a wide board of 1/1 Elves and then finish through her life-loss ability. The primary plan is to cast Lathril by turn 3, use her menace to connect and generate tokens, then tap eleven Elves to drain all opponents repeatedly. Secondary plans are a one-turn overrun with Coat of Arms or Preposterous Proportions, plus incidental drain from Skemfar Shadowsage and Poison-Tip Archer. The commander acts as both token engine and finisher; the deck can still function without her, but its fastest multiplayer win becomes significantly slower.
