Deck overview

This Izzet deck is an aggressive tempo-combo build helmed by the partner pairing of Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar. The deck establishes an explosive early mana engine on Turn 3: Malcolm's flying combat damage triggers Kediss to deal noncombat damage to all other opponents, yielding 3 Treasure tokens each turn. The deck translates this velocity into overwhelming card flow via effects like Curiosity, Coastal Piracy, and Rhystic Study. With abundant mana and cards, the deck transitions into rapid combat kills using Shared Animosity, Port Razer, and Coercive Recruiter, or assembles a two-card infinite combo with Glint-Horn Buccaneer. The interaction package features efficient countermagic and board-clearing tools like Cyclonic Rift and Fiery Cannonade, while Sigil of Sleep provides repeatable creature bounce. While susceptible to mass board wipes, its low curve and quick engine recovery make it a fast and resilient threat.
