Deck overview

Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis turns ordinary land development into steady card flow while giving the deck access to four colors. The main plan is to ramp, cast the commander, and use the extra cards and lands to deploy token engines such as Scute Swarm, Secure the Wastes, Deep Forest Hermit, or Squirrel Nest. Token doublers including Anointed Procession, Parallel Lives, Doubling Season, Mondrak, Glory Dominus, and Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation scale the board. Purphoros, God of the Forge converts creature entries into damage, while Craterhoof Behemoth and Akroma's Will provide the combat finish. The deck also contains the Earthcraft and Squirrel Nest infinite-token combo, but it needs a third payoff and is not the ordinary line. Its main weakness is that its threatening board usually takes several turns to become lethal, giving opponents time to remove engines or sweep the battlefield.
