Anzrag by TurkeyChief

Format: Commander

Commander: Anzrag, the Quake-Mole

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This deck is a linear Gruul voltron strategy helmed by Anzrag, the Quake-Mole. The single-minded plan is to cast Anzrag, pump him with a massive suite of cheap instant/sorcery pump spells, and force blocks using effects like Compelled Duel and Enlarge. When Anzrag becomes blocked, his ability untaps all creatures you control and grants an additional combat phase, enabling a chain of combats that can kill all three opponents with commander damage in one turn. The deck contains nearly 40 pump spells, a handful of forced-block enablers, and a few protection spells, but zero card draw, zero tutors, and negligible interaction. It is a fragile one-trick pony that lives or dies entirely on the commander's ability to attack and be blocked.
